Nurse LEAD

Leadership Enrichment & Development: An educational program for long-term nurses

\\\"Enroll Nurse LEAD is an educational program for long-term care nurses. Every long term care nurse, RN or LVN/LPN, must be a leader. Through supervision of nursing assistants and experience in care provision and care systems, nurses have a responsibility and opportunity to improve long term care. This online course consists of eight CEU modules: Introduction to the Nurse LEAD Program; Introduction to Leadership; Coaching and Supervising CNAs; Critical Thinking; Communication; Leading Through Times of Conflict; Diversity Among Staff; and Working With Management.

The Nurse LEAD program provides nurses with an understanding of leadership in a long term care setting, as well as strategies for effective staff leadership. Nurse LEAD is produced through a collaboration between LeadingAge and the University of Wisconsin School of Nursing (UWSoN Madison). Eight CEU credit hours are awarded through UWSoN. Production of Nurse LEAD online was funded through grants from the National Institute of Nursing Research, NIH.
